A Budou-ban nagyon fontos fogalom a „jou” (végtelen/örök). Ebben az egy hangban felfedezhetsz számos más karaktert, mint például a következő tizet: 常-végtelen; 条-cikk; 状-forma; 情-érzelem; 冗-hasztalanság; 縄-kötél; 鎖-lánc; 丈-termet; 城-vár; 鍵-kulcs. Mikor külön válsz a Jou-tól, s feltéped a páncélját, akkor láthatod a Bufu-Shu Ha Ri-t.
–
A zanshin no Kamae nagyszerű példával szolgál erre.

Within Budo a very important concept is that of “Jyo” (eternity). In this one sound you can discover several other characters, such as the following ten: 常-eternity; 条-article; 状-shape; 情-emotion; 冗-uselessness; 縄- rope; 鎖-chain; 丈-stature; 城-castle; 鍵-key. When you separate from “Jyo,” and tear off its shell, you see Bufu-Shu Ha Ri.

Within people, extrasensory perception (ESP) lies dormant. You must be aware of inner ESP, uncover what is hidden, and separate yourself from common conventional wisdom. Zanshin no Kamae provides a good example of this. It is said that once you have completed your technique on your opponents you must remain with your body intact and in a state of awareness.
–
Zanshin can also be seen as an advancing heart or a cruel heart. Namely, Zanshin no Kamae means never to forget that one must fight the enemy without cruelty, and this is evidence of the mental preparation needed of Budo.
