„A „Soke” annyit jelent, mint semmi, nulla, üresség, űr. Valami ami létezik, de ugyanakkor mégsem. A Soke az egyszerűen csak egy átlagos személy, azonban, valahogy egy olyas valaki is, aki valamiféle láthatatlan, Isteni irányításnak megfelelően éli az életét.

Tudod, én nem a tudatos elmém szerint élek, egyáltalán nem; úgyhogy bármi, amit egészen idáig kigondoltam a fejemben az hírtelen megváltozhat – habár ez nem egy tudatosan előidézett változás. A Bujinkan is megváltozott, nem igaz? Sokféle dolog történt az évek során, s ezek mind leckék voltak mindannyiunk számára, engemet is beleértve. Ezért van, hogy a fejlődés töretlenül folytatódik.”
